The Rockford Files - Episode: "Rattlers' Class of '63" (1976) We need this Toluca lake apartment building identified

The above apartment or condo building is named "TOLUCA EAST". I would guess that this building is either in the east portion of the Toluca lake area or in the area just east of Toluca Lake.

Anybody have any idea of the address of this building?

I disagree with this location. Viewing the pool area via google maps shows this cannot be the location. Completely different building design in the pool area is featured in the episode.

A building can change a lot in 40 years.... but this is without a doubt the building in question. In addition to the exact design details, I contacted management of this unit and they confirmed that the images from the 1976 episode of the Rockford Files are in fact this building,.

Anonymous said...: I agree with the person who disagrees. Look at the google map from overhead. During the episode, Jim runs alongside the pool and then turns to his right. Viewing the Google map from overhead it is apparent that this building design has never been designed as was seen in the episode. Watch the episode again. He turns to the right. Look at the overhead view of the pool area on Google maps. Absolutely no place to turn to the right. This is not the location.; June 8, 2015 at 2:29 PM
Anonymous said...: Having just screened the episode, "Rattler's Class of '63," Rockford and the bad guys ran a good distance away from the "Toluca East" building, but it is difficult to tell which way they went due to the editing. Rockford pushes Avery Schreiber into a different L-shaped pool at a different building with wooden fencing. I tried looking for an L-shaped pool near "Toluca East" in Google satellite view and wasn't able to find anything. That pool could still possibly exist, but might not be visible from overhead due to foliage. Or the L-shaped pool may no longer exist. Don said...: I found another photo of this apartment/condo building. The photo is undated but it shows the roof addition. The additions around the windows which appear in current street views have not been done yet. Some of the Google street views show a sign on the corner of the building which says "Toluca Lakeside Terrace." Do searches for that name and it will give you the same address: 4140 Warner Blvd., Burbank, CA 91505
