I be damn if that intersection doesn't look familiar but I can't think of the exact location.
ReplyDeleteCould that be the "Iron Horse Restaurant" on Ventura Bl. Kind of looks like Ventura.
ReplyDeleteThe Iron Horse? Even in my teen years, don't it make you want to go home now. Many a night (and afternoon), well, one of my girl friends loved the Iron Horse, they had this filet mignon special, a salad, fresh buttered green beans, a baked potato with sour creme and chives, oh yeah, and when they served the margaritas they'd leave the glass mixing bottle at your table if you asked them. Their garlic bread to this day is the best I ever had. The sights, the flavors and the aromas are still vivid in my memory.
ReplyDeleteI just thought I'd ad something of interest after seeing this was a James Garner page. I loved the Rockford Files, it was one of my favorite shows. I lived in the second building behind where the photographer would have been standing during the first 4 years or so the show was being filmed. I believe I may have been watching on that day. I do remember watching that and many other shows being filmed on the street in that area. The fact that the Iron Horse was still in business and that across the street was the facade that was a part of, well, being a family sight I won't mention what the two business in that building were at the time but I'm guessing this may have been in 1975. Am I right?
