ABOVE PHOTO: Actor Jack Garner getting ruffed up by a motorcycle gang - The Rattlers. Usually it was his brother James Garner getting pounced on.
ABOVE PHOTO: In this still image the exterior of KILROY'S TAVERN can be seen.
Kilroy's was located at 2820 Main Street, Santa Monica California
ABOVE THREE IMAGES: The Jolly Roger Motel located at 2904 Washington Blvd, Marina del Rey, California - I doubt they let you bring your motorcycles into the rooms anymore.
BELOW IMAGE: The Jolly Roger Motel as it stands today in 2014
ABOVE IMAGE: The beautiful actress Laurie Jefferson played Gail Cooper, as seen here on her first date with Jim Rockford. Before the date ends, she will be beat and repeatedly raped by a motorcycle gang. I would have to say one of the worst first dates in TV series history. But the trooper she is, she asked for a second date! What a woman!
ABOVE IMAGE: Actor Bo Hopkins returns to star in his 4th episode of the Rockford Files. In each episode he played Jim Rockford's friend John Cooper. Cooper and Garner had a natural interaction in each episode.
ABOVE IMAGE: 6'6" tall actor Joseph Burke played Rattler's gang member Lenny. The much shorter actor standing to Burke's right is Paul Mace. Mace died in a road accident at age 33 in 1983.
ABOVE IMAGE: The late great Dennis Burkley who we lost in 2013. This was Dennis Burkley's 3rd appearance on the Rockford Files.
ABOVE IMAGE: Actors Jerry Ayres (Died 2013), Andy Jarrell and Ken A. Anderson also starred in this episode.
Great episode with a bunch of great actors. The scene in Kilroy's Tavern is quite memorable. How great is it that the Jolly Roger is still around? Hey, it's a hotel now, not just a motel! How classy!
ReplyDeleteGreat site...I saw this episode today and my googling took me here!
ReplyDeleteGreat info!
We need a 1978/79 phone book for the scene where John Cooper talks to the citizen and then drives off to Kilroys. I see "Mutual Escrow" on the right side of the street. The left side has stores "Ludlow's Western Wear," "Marcinkus Real Estate," "Marina Pet Shop," "RSVP Instant Printing," and "Discokid" I can't find a hit on google : /
